Древняя легенда гласит, что плита Слов Завета, начертанных Богом, откроет тайны Вселенной тому, кто сможет ее прочесть. А прочесть эти Слова сможет лишь наследник Света и Тени. И вот эта плита оказывается разбитой. Силы Света и Тени обвиняют в этом друг друга, что приводит к ужасной и долгой войне. Но несмотря на вражду, отдельные представители обеих сторон пытаются сблизиться, чтобы произвести на свет наследника, могущего прочесть Слова Завета на плите, кусочки которой силы Света и Тени постепенно собирают. И ни одна из сторон еще не знает про тайного врага, проникшего в их ряды...
